Sumitomo Chemical Increases US-Dollar Price Quotes for DL- Methionine in China (December 2, 2003)

Japan's Sumitomo Chemical reportedly increased its CIF US-dollar denominated price quotes for DL-methionine in China. CIF price quotes have been raised from US$2.52/kg to US$2.70/kg for L/C at sight offers, up by US$0.18/kg compared to the last price offers.

Price quotes for other L/C terms offers are US$2.73/kg. This is translated to offers in Renminbi at the price of RMB27.8/kg in China, after adding Customs duty, VAT, import handling and other distribution costs.
