Russia's meat production increases 11.4% in January-October 2020

 

 

The volume of Russia's production of cooled or chilled beef, pork, lamb, goat meat, horse meat and venison in January-October 2020 rose by 11.4% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 2.5 million tonnes, according to Rosstat, Russia's Federal State Statistic Service.

 

The volume of production of poultry meat for the reporting period decreased by 0.5% and amounted to 4 million tonnes.

 

The production of semi-finished meat products increased by 8.4%, to 3.3 million tonnes, sausages by 3.4%, to two million tonnes, and canned meat by 12.3% to 627 million standard cans.
