Louis Dreyfus to build US$130 million grain port complex in Argentina
The Argentine unit of Louis Dreyfus Commodities has inked a deal to invest US$130 million to develop a grain processing and shipping facility at the Bahia Blanca port complex, the company said Friday (Nov 27).
Dreyfus initially plans to build storage facilities at the site in the south of Buenos Aires province for about 80,000 tonnes of grain.
Later, storage facilities will be expanded and a soy and sunflower seed crushing plant built with capacity to process 3,000 tonnes a day, the company said.
