Trouw Nutrition turns the spotlight on Fibosel®

press release

To boost animals' immune systems and thereby safeguard their performance, Trouw Nutrition markets worldwide a tailor-made beta-glucan under the brand name Fibosel®.

The key ingredient is highly exposed beta-glucans, a component isolated from the cell wall of a selected yeast strain. Exposed beta 1.3/1.6 glucans stimulate the immune system via activation of macrophages.

Due to its mode of action via macrophages, Fibosel® is effective in land animals and aquaculture. The support of Fibosel® in the diet is especially relevant for young animals, animals that live under high infection pressure and for animals during stressful situations like vaccination and transfer.

A new application for Fibosel® is to start the support for the young animal already during late pregnancy and lactation. Including Fibosel® in the diet for the mother boosts the protecting antibody content in the colostrum and milk.

Fibosel® brings three significant advantages compared to other yeast derivatives, such as MOS-products. Fibosel® is more effective in immune-stimulation (because of the highly exposed beta-glucans). Secondly, as a highly concentrated product, Fibosel® can be included in premixes perfectly. Finally, Fibosel® in your feed costs less than using MOS-products.
