DSM resumes annual aquaculture conference in Bangkok, Thailand

DSM Nutritional Products has resumed its annual aquaculture conference under the theme "Adapt to Pivot" on November 23 in Bangkok, Thailand.
During the event, Rodrigo Martinez of StoneX Financial Inc., talked about "Using Financial Tools to Navigate Volatile Markets" to cope with raw material prices volatility.
Robert Redman from Veramaris presented on "Where is Next for Aquafeed?", highlighting that as demand for aquaculture products is growing and consumers value sustainability, so do the demand for omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.
Dr. Viviane Verlhac Trichet from Nord University revealed "Tools to Assess Novel Nutritional and Functional Ingredients for Aqua Feeds" for optimised digestion absorption processes, maximised feed utilisation, less feed waste and reduced inflammation.
Yahira Piedrahita from National Chamber of Aquaculture shared with the audience on "Principles, Practices & Trends of Shrimp Farming in Ecuador".
Dr. Rui Alexandre Gonçalves from Lucta SA demonstrated "Mycotoxins in Aquaculture: A Hidden Threat in SE Asian Aquaculture".
Dr. Dominique P. Bureau from the University of Guelph presented on "Sitting on a Gold Mine: Estimating and Unlocking the Value of Unavailable Nutrients in Common Feed Ingredients" to show how unavailable nutrients can affect the economic and environmental sustainability of the industry.
The event has gathered most key aquaculture stakeholders to discuss key adaptations for staying ahead together.
