Russia's Kavendrovsky feed mill (Kavendra LLC) has just completed the upgrade and modernisation of their feed plant in Narovchat, Penza Oblast.
General Director of Kavendrovsky feed mill, Kirill Kovalev said that the feed equipment for the production line for the production of pelleted compound feeds had already been purchased and installed, with commissioning works currently taking place at the plant.
Kovalev said that as well as the installation of updated feed mill machinery, the work at the feed mill also included the erection of a new steel production building, a new ventilation system, a complete replacement of internal and external power lines, and a new product out load system which was still under construction.
A total of RUB85 million (US$2.5 million) was invested for the modernisation of the feed mill, which will have a production capacity of 200 tonnes per day of pelleted feed when operational. The new feed mill line is expected to be launched in and be operational in December, with the first batch of pellet feed to be released by the end of the year.
