Jordan plans to buy 100,000 tonnes of feed barley
Jordan's Ministry of Trade and Industry said Sunday it is looking to buy 100,000 tonnes of feed barley, of any origin, for shipment during the first and second half of January.
"The first 50,000 tonnes are for shipment from Jan 1-15 and the second 50,000 are for shipment Jan 15-31," Muhannad Ghesh, a senior importer at the ministry, told Dow Jones Newswires.
The deadline for bids is 1100 GMT on Dec 14.
Jordan last bought barley on Oct 13 when it purchased 100,000 tonnes of EU and Black Sea origin from Cargill.
