Production resumes at Evonik methionine plants in Antwerp, Belgium

Evonik stated November 26 that the force majeure announced on November 12 has ended (/contents/11-13-2019/dbf7069a-1e65-42f0-8f34-e59d4f5e9fda-a181.html).

An issue with the hydrocyanic acid (HCN) supply caused a temporary shutdown of its methionine manufacturing facilities in Antwerp.

Dr. Emmanuel Auer, head of Animal Nutrition Business Line at Evonik said, "We are pleased that we could solve the issue and resume MetAMINO® production.

We would like to thank our customers for the patience and support shown whilst we resolved the situation."
