Brazil beef exports up 413.6 percent
Exports of beef of Brazil rocketed 413.6 percent between 1999 and 2007, said a study of the World Trade Organization.
During the period, Brazil increased its share in the international market from 6.8 percent to 28.4 percent. Also, Brazil tripled exports of chicken meat from 12.6 percent to 35.5 percent in 2007. In the world sugar market, Brazil increased its share from 31.2 percent to 42.1 percent and in the soy market its share reached 27 percent against 16 percent.
