Russia's clean weight grain harvest at 93 million tonnes
Russia's grain harvest totalled to 93 million tonnes in clean weight this year under the current estimation, Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik told Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Thursday (November 26), ITAR-TASS reported.
Of the total, the wheat harvest amounted to 58 million tonnes, Skrynnik said.
The ministry said earlier in November that the grain harvest amounted to 101.4 million tonnes in bunker weight year-to-date.
Clean weight refers to the weight of grain after drying and cleaning. Bunker weight refers to the weight of grain before drying and cleaning.
