Malaysia's Feed Producer Plans to Expand Aqua Feed Production

The Emivest Group, one of Malaysia's three largest feed producers, is planning to expand its aqua feed output, as the Group eyes on the rapid growth potential and huge profit margin in engaging in aqua feed production.

Situated at Malacca, Malaysia, the Emivest Group has production capacity for 30,000 tons of feed per month, accounting for 13% of the country's total feed market share.

Recently, the Group has also invested to build a plant, for producing vitamins for feed production and minerals for compound feed production, which is due to commence production next year. The Group also plans to procure its own stockpile facilities.

The financial manager of Emivest said that there are viable business opportunities in the Southeast Asia regions. The markets in Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia demonstrate promising growth in the demand for aqua feed.

In addition to feed production, the Group also engages in the sales of poultry and eggs, operation of a warehouse and warehouse management.
