Ukraine Jan-Oct poultry output up, pork and beef down

Ukraine produced in January-October 586,100 tonnes of poultry, 10.5-percent more than in the corresponding period last year, while pork and beef production register a decline, the state statistics committee reported Wednesday.

Pork output in January-October fell by 30.6 percent on the year to 82,600 tonnes, and beef output fell by 32.5 percent to 88,200 tonnes.

In October alone, poultry output fell by 6.5 percent compared with September this year to 60,100 tonnes. Pork output fell by 2.2 percent to 8,500 tonnes, and beef output fell by 8.7 percent, compared with September, to 9,700 tonnes.
