Vietnam Aims To Help Laos Boost Fisheries Production
Under the agreement freshly signed between the Vietnamese Ministry of Fisheries and the Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Vietnam will provide Laos with VND8.9 billion in grants to help it boost fisheries' production, i.e. upgrading relevant infrastructure and technical facilities in Laos, organizing workshops for aquaculture experts and supplying young fish and materials necessary for aquaculture.
A group of experts from the Vietnamese Ministry of Fisheries paid a week-long working visit to Laos ending on November 21.
The guests conducted surveys on aquaculture in Laos, especially in Northern provinces, in order to work out proper plans on fisheries development in Laos. Also, they would like to help improve their Lao colleagues' skills and knowledge.
