Saudi Arabia permits Polish beef imports

The veterinary services of Saudi Arabia has approved the import of beef products from Poland due to the positive results of the audit, the General Veterinary Inspectorate (GIW) said on November 22.

The audit was carried out from September 30 to October 4. As a result, the export ban imposed in February was lifted. Ten companies are allowed to export to Saudi Arabia.

Beef production in Poland in 2019 could amount to 1.1 million tonnes, which is 2% more than a year ago.
