India welcomes US investments into agriculture industry
India is looking forward to more US investments in the local agriculture industry, which would provide benefits to both parties.
All fields of economic activity in India are open for participation by foreign investors, especially those from the US, said Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who wanted US participation across the board from agriculture to nuclear power.
Singh said corporate American can help build roads, railways, ports and airports in India. In rural areas, he sees a role for US agro-technology firms.
