Ukraine's meat product output rise 1.7% on-month

Ukrainian meat processing enterprises increased the output of meat and by-products of the first category by 1.7% or 1,455 tonnes to 87,451 tonnes, in October as compared with September.

In October 2010, production of meat and by-products of the first category rose by 9.3% or 7,409 tonnes, compared with October 2009.

In January-October 2010, production of meat and by-products of the first category increased by 5.8% or 44,260 tonnes, compared with January-October 2009, to 813,218 tonnes.

Earlier in September, meat processing enterprises increased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 6.9% or 5,567 tonnes to 85,996 tonnes, compared with August.

In 2009, production of meat and by-products of the first category increased by 0.2% or 1,560 tonnes, compared with 2008, to 920,512 tonnes.

In 2008 production of meat and by-products of the first category made up 918,952 tonnes.
