Bright Dairy's New Zealand plant begins operation

Bright Dairy & Food's second plant was completed and began operation on November 22, a year after the company bought 51% equities in New Zealand's Synlait Milk.

The plant will be a production base making Pure Canterbury, high-end baby milk of the company.

Data shows that Synlait Milk is now one of the two baby milk suppliers in New Zealand. Before being bought by Bright Dairy, it became one of the five independent New Zealand milk manufacturers and once was a milk supplier and shareholder of Fonterra, a dairy product giant in New Zealand.

Synlait Milk has turned around in 2011 after being bought by Bright Dairy. Revenue of the New Zealand company hit NZD185 million (US$137.81 million) between this January and July, and the yearly revenue is expected to take 115% of the budget.
