Zhengchang Group holds centennial celebration

Well-known China-based feed processing equipment and plant engineering company Jiangsu Zhengchang Group held its centennial celebration in October in Liyang city, Jiangsu province.

Invited guests included Yang Zhenhai, Executive Director of the National Animal Husbandry Service and Secretary General of the China Feed Industry Association (CFIA); Wang Xiaohui, Deputy Director of the China National Grain & Oils Information Center of the State Grain and Material Reserves Administration (SGRA); Xia Chunsheng, Director General of the SGRA for Jiangsu province and an Executive Vice President of the CFIA; Tao Yishan, Chairman of Tangrenshen Group; Xue Hua, Chairman of Haida Group and an Executive Vice President of the CFIA; Yao Minpu, Senior Vice Chairman of Zhengda Group in China and Honorary Vice President of the China Animal Agriculture Association.

In his speech, Hao Bo, Chairman of Zhengchang Group, said that while the company's 100-year history is no doubt tumultuous, it is extraordinary. From its humble beginnings as Zhenchang oil mill factory in 1918 when the country was under the Republic of China, its public-private partnership in 1956, its renaming to Liyang Grain and Oil Machinery Plant in 1969, 2003 marked the year of successful restructuring for Zhengchang Group. Then in 2008, Shanghai Zhengchang International Mechanical Engineering Co.,Ltd was founded, and internalisation of the company went into full swing. In more recent times, Zhengchang responded to the One Belt One Road initiative in 2014, and set up Zhengchang Brazil in 2015 and established its South American base. To date, Zhengchang Group has more than 15 manufacturing companies under it. From a specialist manufacturer, Zhengchang Group has today transformed into a conglomerate.

Thankful that Zhengchang would not have its success today without the support from society at large, at the celebratory ceremony, Hao Bo oversaw the donation of RMB 6 million to Liyang City Charity Society. And not forgetting its employees, Zhengchang awarded a group of dedicated staff for their outstanding contributions.

On the day before its centennial celebration, Zhengchang Group hosted the "2018 China Farming and Feed Development Summit" held nearby the Tianmu Lake of Liyang, which saw the participation of nearly 300 company chairpersons and general managers, industry experts, and media representatives from all over China. They were gathered to discuss on and promote the transformation and development of China's farming and feed industry.
