Ukraine's egg production falls 1.8% to 1.54 billion in October

Ukraine's egg production in October drops by 1.8% or 28.5 million eggs over September to 1.54 billion eggs.

According to the State Statistics Service, egg production at private farms fell by 14.5% to 503.5 million eggs and at specialised farms rose by 5.8% to 1,036.9 million eggs.

In October 2012 eggs production increased by 1.4% or 21 million eggs over October 2011.

In January-October 2012, production of eggs rose by 1.7% or 274.1 million eggs over the same period of 2011 to 16,246.1 million eggs.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in September, egg production fell by 5.9% or 97.6 million eggs over August to 1,568.9 million eggs.

In 2011 egg production rose by 9.6% or 1,637.7 million eggs against 2010 to 18.690 million eggs.
