Japan's September compound feed output falls 2.8% on-year

 
 

Japan's total compound feed output fell 2.8% in September from a year earlier to 1.957 million tonnes, the fifth straight month of on-year declines, Agriculture Ministry data showed Friday (Nov 19).

 

In August, total output of compound feed for animals fell 1.5% from a year earlier to 1.899 million tonnes.

 

Japan is the world's biggest importer of corn, the main ingredient in animal feed in Japan. The US is its main supplier of corn for feed use.
