Brazil's pig slaughter at 4.4% higher in Q3 2022

Brazil's pig slaughter reached 14.37 million head in the third quarter of 2022, representing a 4.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

The amount also represents a 2.1% increase compared to the second quarter of 2022.

The accumulated carcass weight was 1.33 million tonnes in the third quarter of 2022, which was a 3.8% increase from the same quarter in 2021 and a 1.4% increase from the second quarter of this year.
