H5N8 bird flu detected among wild birds in southwest England

The UK's Environment Department have identified the H5N8 strain of avian influenza among wild birds in southwest England, Reuters reported.

According to a statement by the department, the UK's Chief Veterinary Officer confirmed the bird flu strain among a small wild number of wild birds in Gloucestershire, Devon, and Dorset, located southwest of the country.
