New Ukraine distributor for Topigs Norsvins' pig genetics
The Centre for Improvement of Animal Breeding (CIAB) has become the distributor for Topigs Norsvin's pig genetics for the Ukrainian market., Topigs Norsvin announced this month.
CIAB will establish nucleus populations to start local production of parent sows. Topigs Norsvin's in-house nucleus system InGene will also be introduced in Ukraine.
The introduction of Topigs Norsvin genetics and support in Ukraine is an important element in the national development programme, "New Pig Production 2025", the company said. It will contribute to the ambition of the Ukrainian Meat Industry Association to produce pork with the lowest production cost in the world and become an important pork exporter.

CIAB works with pig farms, dairy farms and agro holdings in Ukraine and abroad. It specialises in technology audit, cost-cutting, activity planning, business improvement and support.
