Two Danish Crown plants banned from exporting pork to China
Two Danish Crown slaughterhouses have been banned by the Chinese government from exporting pork to China, the company said.
The plants are located in Sæby and Horens.
With more than 6000 production staff, high COVID-19 infection risks and measures to control on-site infections, Danish Crown has seen the number of scheduled sacrifices reduced by a quarter of a million.
There is also a shortage of labor for deboning throughout Europe needed to meet demand from both Europe and Asia.
