Russia exports 15.4 times more live pigs in first 10 months of 2020
In the first 10 months of 2020, Russia has exported 40,300 head of live pigs, about 15.4 times more than in the same period in the previous year (2,610 animals), according to the country's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance.
Export volumes have gradually increased since the beginning of the year after a slight decrease in May-June.
Most of the animals were exported in October (7,100 head). All exports are bound for Georgia, with 100% of the supply.
