Argentina approves 400,000-tonne corn export
The government of Argentina was expected to authorise Monday (Nov 14) 400,000 tonnes of 2010/11 corn for export, three local industry sources said.
State officials were due to meet with exporters late on Monday to announce the details of the authorisation.
Martin Fraguio, head of Argentine corn industry group Maizar, said he hoped the amount to be released would exceed the expected 400,000 tonnes.
