Ukraine produces 43.67 million tonnes of grains

Ukraine harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of 14.12 million hectares, or 95% of the forecast while its produced volumes totalled 43.67 million tonnes of grains with the average yield of 30.9 centners/hectare as of November 13, 2012.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on the same date in 2011 agrarians produced 54.06 million tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 14.8 million hectares with the yield of 36.5 centners/hectare (c/ha).

As of the reporting date in 2012, agrarians harvested corn throughout 3.8 million hectares (86%), and already produced 17.32 million tonnes of the grain, the yield - 45.5 c/ha.

Also, agrarians harvested 2.28 million tonnes of soy throughout the areas of 1.36 million hectares (95%) with the yield of 16.8 c/ha. As of the reporting date, agrarians almost completed the planting campaign of winter crops for the harvest-2013. The general planted areas totalled 8.05 million hectares (99%), including winter wheat - 6.62 million hectares (100%), winter barley - 1.09 million hectares (90%), winter rye - 306,300 hectares (100%).
