Russia's Q1-3 poultry and beef imports up
Russia imported in January-September 937,700 tonnes of poultry, an increase of 25.2 percent on the corresponding period last year, according to figures released Friday by the federal customs service Friday.
The import was worth US$596.9 million, compared with US$448 million in January-September 2004.
The import of fresh and refrigerated beef during the period increased by 27.39 percent to 821,700 tonnes worth US$1.152 billion, which is 30.93 percent more than in January-September 2004.
