Chinese Lysine Producer Temporarily Shut Down Production (November 13, 2003)

An eFeedLink Exclusive Report

According to industry insiders, China's lysine producer, Lujin Biochem, has again called a halt to production due to some technical problems. This would result in the market temporarily losing Lujin Biochem's daily 10 MT output of lysine.

Lujin Biochem Enterprise, which is located at Mudanjiang city of Heilongjiang province, went into production in March 2003. Its annual production capacity is about 15,000 tons. However, its reportedly unsolved problem in fungus fermentation repeatedly hinders the producer from maintaining normal production.
