Animal welfare, innovation expected to be the highlights of EuroTier 2014

 


The organiser for the world-leading feed and livestock show, DLG international, expects to see at least of 50% of international participation from exhibitors, making clear the global relevance which EuroTier has.

 

On top of that, at the welcome reception for the national and international press hosted by DLG President Carl-Albrecht Bartmer, the night before the event proper, Bartmer highlighted two key topics for EuroTier 2014: animal welfare and innovation.

 

For the former, it is not surprising that it has received particular attention, given the trend towards sustainability and animal welfare in recent years. For the latter, EuroTier 2014 has set a record number of 270 product registrations competing in terms of innovation. Bartmer will be officially announcing the six gold and 15 silver medallists on the evening of November 11.

 

Bartmer also pointed out that this year's event sees increase exhibitor participation from industries related to milking technology, animal housing, and equipments for liquid manure.
