Yurun builds 100,000-head hog farm in Shanxi 
 
Yurun is building a 100,000 hog farm with an investment value of RMB250 million (US$40 million) on a land space of 360-mu in Zezhou, Shanxi. The construction spans 15 months and once completed in January 2014, it is estimated to release 100,000-head of hogs yearly, with annual sales revenue of RMB200 million (US$32 million).

Hefei Yili's branch invests RMB20 million in Anhui's dairy farm  

 
Hefei Yili's branch, Anhui Huahao Ecological Farming Co. Ltd. has invested RMB20 million (US$3.2 million) in constructing a dairy cattle eco-farm in Anhui. The construction includes a 5,000 sq. metres cow shed, 1,400 sq. metres milking area and supporting facilities such as pollution prevention and control zone. The project is estimated to complete its constructions by end of 2012, with first batch of 200 heads of high quality breeder cattle imported from New Zealand. Thereafter, it is expected to house 2,000 dairy cattle annually with an annual production of 10,000 tonnes of quality fresh milk produce and annual sales of RMB32 million (US$5.13 million) revenue.

Wens Group establishes 50 million-head breeder hog firm in Guangdong  

 
Wens Group has established a breeder hog branch in Guangdong. The breeder branch used to be under Guangdong Huanong Wens Group wing will be responsible for managing Wens Group breeder branches in Xinxing, Qingyuan and Huadong. Wens Group has plans to build another breeding branch in 2013.

Shaanxi Zhu Er Kang starts construction of modernised 2,000-head dairy farm 

 
Shaanxi Zhu Er Kang Agriculture and Livestock Co. Ltd. is building a modernised 2,000-head dairy cattle farm in Qianyang County. Occupying 200-mu of land, the main construction includes a 12,000 sq. metres cow shed fitted with latest livestock machinery and equipment. The initial stage will see an introduction of 800 heads of quality dairy cows. It is expected to complete within two years with a total investment of RMB50 million (US$8 million).

Yurun invests RMB520 million in 2000-head PIC grandparent-stock breeder hog farm, Shaanxi 

 
Yurun has announced to build a RMB520 million (US$82.2 million) breeder hog farm in Xianyang, Shaanxi on November 2. It will build a 2000-head PIC grandparent stock hog farm which will release 12,000 parent hogs and 28,000 fattened pigs annually.

Currently, RMB18 million (US$2.88 million) has been invested in the farm and infrastructure works are completed. The farm is expected to fully operate in September 2013.

New Hope Dairy invests RMB1 billion in nucleus dairy cattle chain, Sichuan

 
New Hope Dairy invests RMB1 billion (US$1.6 billion) in building of Qingbaijiang eco-demostration ranch in Chengdu, Sichuan. The ranch located in Qingbaijiang processing park can produce more than 30,000 tonnes of high quality raw milk annually, a daily production of 1,000 tonnes of dairy products and a nucleus herd of 10,000 dairy cattle.

The facility will be constructed in two phases. Once completed, it will be able to house 6,000 dairy cattle with an annual production of 30,000 tonnes of high quality raw milk.
