World grain output to fall in 2010-11

World grain production will total 2,179.53 million tonnes in the 2010-11 crop year, down from a previous forecast of 2,182.76 million, the USDA said on Tuesday (Nov 9).

World output for 2010-11 would include 642.89 million tonnes of wheat, 1,085.20 million of coarse (feed) grains and 451.44 million of rice.

Meanwhile, oilseeds were estimated at 440.72 million tonnes.
