BeefLedger partners with digital fingerprint tech company

BeefLedger, a company which provides a blockchain solution for the Australian beef supply chain, has joined forces with Australian digital fingerprint technology innovator Laava to showcase the integration of secure 'front-end' customer experiences with secure 'back end' decentralised ledger technologies.

The collaboration delivers to brand owners and consumers an exceptional user experience, which reinforces holistic brand value, together with the peace of mind that blockchain secured data can bring.

Via the Laava-powered BeefLedger Smart Fingerprint, consumers will be able to authenticate their purchase using their smartphone from a conventional print label, access detailed product information and verify key traceability and provenance files and information on the BeefLedger blockchain network.

The Laava Fingerprint connecting consumers to blockchain authenticates activity and product evidence.

"A key area of interest for us is working with specialists who are tackling 'front end' security, to complement our 'back of house' focus. What this means is honing in on the problems of scanning tag counterfeiting and copying, which has been a massive bugbear for those who've worked with QR Codes over the years.

"We see in Laava a group that is focused on label integrity, just as much as being concerned with supporting the delivery of rich user experiences," said Warwick Powell, chairman of BeefLedger.
