Livestock processing base in Inner Mongolia starts operation
Xiaoweiyang Processing Zone, one of the biggest and most advanced livestock slaughter-cum-processing zones in Inner Mongolia, started production last Friday (Nov 2).
The processing zone has a total land area of 3.7 hectares and the floor area of the plants totalled 15,000 square metres. The mutton processing plant has a slaughtering capacity of one million heads of sheep per year while the food flavourings factory has an annual production capacity of 1,500 tonnes.
Revenue to be gained from this project is estimated at RMB350 million annually.
