Philippines Lifted Ban On Poultry Imports From US
The Philippine Department of Agriculture (DA) has lifted the temporary ban on poultry and poultry product imports from the States of California, Nevada and Texas, USA due to outbreaks of Exotic New Castle Disease (END).
This directive follows a report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture informing the Office International des Epizooties (OIE) that it has lifted quarantine restrictions on the three States due to the eradication of END in those areas.
The lifting of the import ban due to END is contained in DA Memorandum Order No. 29 dated October 16, 2003. It was made effective on October 29, 2003.
