Aviagen's Efficiency Pro Male expands product portfolio 

Aviagen's new Efficiency Pro Male™ packs in considerable market advantages, the company announced.

The easy-to-manage male excels in breeder performance, feed efficiency under varied environmental conditions, as well as excellent meat quality, yield, and processing advantages.

The new product is commercially available in the US and Canada and has so far enjoyed a growing popularity with North American customers. While it is offered initially in North America, the Efficiency Pro Male is being evaluated for other markets around the world.

Part of Aviagen's Specialty Males^® portfolio, the Efficiency Pro Male can be packaged with female orders to deliver high performance, exceptional livability, strong growth rate and excellent feed conversion.

Widening Aviagen's broad portfolio of product choices

The Specialty Males portfolio features male broiler breeding stock developed to meet the needs of Aviagen customers looking for specific performance traits in their broiler breeding stock, such as higher breast meat yield, feed efficiency, and resilience in challenging environments. The Specialty Males portfolio includes product choices such as the Yield Plus® Male and Efficiency Pro Male and are intended to satisfy a number of diverse market requirements.

FCR Plus balanced meat yield

Another market advantage of the Efficiency Pro broiler breeder lies in its balanced meat yield. Not only does the Efficiency Pro Male result in broilers that deliver excellent whole-bird yield, but broiler progeny also delivers exceptional uniformity and an excellent balance of breast, leg and wing meat.

Living up to its name in efficiency

The Efficiency Pro lives up to its name in efficiency, providing substantial feed, production and processing efficiencies. Due to its outstanding feed efficiency, the new male extends benefits that are friendly to farmers and to the environment. A favorable FCR means less feed is needed to produce the same amount of meat, and therefore a smaller footprint of farmland is required for feed production.
