Shrimp rakes biggest revenue for Vietnam seafood exports
Shrimp has remained the Vietnam's biggest currency earner among seafood products, accounting for 39.4 percent of seafood export value, according to Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers.
VASEP said the country has exported nearly 110,000 tonnes of shrimp for over US$1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.2 percent.
The Vietnamese fisheries sector has accelerated measures to control the products' quality, safety and hygiene as well as promote trademarks to meet the burgeoning global demand for shrimp.
