Diamond V appoints new members to North America dairy team

 

 

 

Diamond V has appointed new members to the company's North America dairy team.

 

Among these appointments, Sam Mosley is made dairy field technical specialist of the team.

 

Mosley had worked with the Davis Family Dairies in Minnesota, USA, where he was the operations manager of multiple dairy sites and a young stock facility.  Previously, Mosley was the transition cow manager for Double A Dairy in Jerome, Idaho.

 

According to Dave Ohman, Diamond V's dairy technical service specialist, Mosley's focus was on transition cow management and facilities, feed management and feeder training, employee development, and young stock.

 

Mosley also has extensive experience in developing dairy operations protocols and implementing them in both English and Spanish.

 

He holds a doctorate in animal physiology from the University of Idaho where he had researched on the impact of dietary fatty acids on milk fat synthesis. 

 

Diamond V also hired Matt Bryan as the team's regional sales manager. He will be serving dairy producers in the Magic Valley and the Eastern Idaho region.

 

Bryan was a senior sales representative of Elanco Animal Health. During his time with the company, he co-authored the most recent Elanco Dairy Heat Abatement Guide and served as a mentor and trainer for new dairy team members.

 

Bryan also worked with Eli Lilly as a biologist, researching ways to combat the effects of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

 

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Purdue University in the US.
