South Korea's October poultry meat price down record 17.2 percent

The price of chicken meat in South Korea dropped a record 17.2 percent last month, according to the country's National Statistical Office. This is by far the biggest year-on-year drop in 29 months since May 2003.

The current global bird flu scare has been attributed for the price drop, according to the government report released by the statistics office.
