Argentina allows import of compound feed from Russia
Argentina's National Animal Health and Quality Service (SENASA) has approved the import of compound feed from Russia.
The development came last month following a lengthy approval process.
Negotiations on this issue started in April this year between Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) and SENASA. The parties agreed that the supply of such feeds will be accompanied by a Russian veterinary certificate, which will be issued by Rosselkhoznadzor inspectors for each batch of feeds shipped.
Rosselkhoznadzor has been working with SENASA to agree on the terms of export of high-tech agricultural products (compound feed of non-animal origin for birds, pigs and cattle) since the beginning of 2019.
