Drop in proportion of pig farms in Germany found with high salmonella risk
The proportion of pig farms in Germany with a high salmonella risk had dropped from 5.8% in 2005 to 1.6% at the start of 2021.
The decrease represents a 72% decline and is the lowest level recorded since the start of salmonella control in the QS system, the quality assurance system for food in the country.
