Bright Dairy's Q1-Q3 net income surge 22%
Shanghai Bright Dairy & Food Co Ltd, one of China's largest dairy producers, reaped RMB160 million (US$25 million) in net profit in the first three quarters, up 22.21% on-year, sources reported.
Its operating revenue totalled RMB 8.66 billion (US$1.36 billion) in the reporting period, with earnings per share of RMB0.15 (US$0.02), up 21.35% on-year.
Bright Dairy has the largest pasture in the East Asia and a 500,000-tonne annual production capacity. It produces a variety of dairy products including disinfected milk, fresh milk, yogurt, pasteurised milk, and milk powder. The company also operates a number of fresh milk mills in the cities of Xi'an, Beijing, Wuhan, Wuxi, and Nanjing.
