China lysine market stays soft

Lysine prices were stable to lower during the week ending October 30.

Sales were slow as hog feed consumption was limited due to diminished animal inventories. Moreover, hog feed producers were reluctant to expand production as hog prices continued to stay soft. Major lysine producers held prices down in efforts to clear stocks.

For imported 98.5-percent lysine, transacted prices stayed in the range of RMB10.80-11.60/kg.
