Russia July-Sep barley exports up 56 percent on-year

 

 

Russia exported in 454,400 tonnes of barley in July-September, the first three months of the current marketing year, an increase of 56 percent on the year, the Agriculture Ministry reported Tuesday (October 30).

 

Barley exports in September were 214,200 tonnes, 2.1 times the amount exported in August and 5.6 times the amount exported in September, 2006.

 

The largest importers of Russian barley in September were Saudi Arabia 115,600 tonnes, Jordan 31,800 tonnes, Tunisia 22,500 tonnes, Israel 9,100 tonnes and Ukraine 6,800 tonnes.
