South African-based Tiger Brands sells processed meats business

The largest food producer in South Africa, Tiger Brands, said it has sold its value-added meat products business to Silver Blade Abattoir, a unit of Country Bird Holdings, Reuters reported.

The sales agreement will be effective November 1, covering Tiger Brand's meat processing business located at Germiston, Polokwane, and Pretoria.
