Methionine prices stagnant amid light trade in China
Prices of methionine remained unchanged during the week ending October 30.
Poor demand for poultry feed curtailed the sales of methionine in China. However, as methionine prices have 7% since September, producers stood firm to sustain paltry profits.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine stayed in the range of RMB22.50-23/kg.
Methionine prices are set to remain soft with supply exceeding demand.
