Egypt's GASC buys 180,000 tonnes Russian, US wheat

 

 

Egypt's state-owned General Authority For Supply Commodities (GASC) said Friday (Oct 27) it bought 180,000 tonnes of Russian and US wheat, for shipment Dec 1-15, on a free-on-board basis.

 

Of the total, GASC bought two cargos, each 30,000 tonnes of Russian wheat from Silverstone, 30,000 tonnes of Russian wheat from Louis Dreyfus and 30,000 tonnes of Russian wheat from Bunge all at the price of US$192.50 a tonne, Nomani Nomani, undersecretary and vice chairman of GASC, told Dow Jones Newswires.

 

GASC also bought 60,000 tonnes of US soft white wheat from Louis Dreyfus at US$187.75/tonne, Nomani added.
