Adisseo launches digital version of Rhodimet® Nutrition Guide

Adisseo, a manufacturer of animal feed additives, has launched a digital version of the Rhodimet® Nutrition Guide which provides updated information on amino acid recommendations for poultry, swine and aquaculture.
Available for personal computers and electronic tablets, the new version of the guide was published for nutritionists on July 2013.
The digital format, the e-RNG 2.0, is a free interactive tool which also shows total digestible composition and digestibility coefficients of amino acids in raw materials.
In addition, the amino acid composition for more than 30 different raw materials, were added in a separate section. This data was extracted from Precise Nutrition Evaluation (PNE), Adisseo's NIR service. PNE predicts and determines the digestible amino acids (DAA), metabolizable energy (ME), and total and phytic phosphorus of raw materials, on the basis of a unique in-vivo database established through more than 200 digestibility trials carried out in Adisseo's Center of Expertise and Research Nutrition (CERN) in France.
Based on an innovative modeling approach developed initially by Pierre-André Geraert, the company's innovation marketing director, the amino acid requirements are expressed in gram/animal/day according to weight gain (or egg mass).
The earlier version was based on data available in 2002. As there were concerns on whether the modeling approach is still valid on more recent data, the present version used all published works towards 2012, thus justifying the methodology for a larger number of essential amino acids.
