World Bank extends funds to Vietnamese poultry raisers
A total of 540 bird-flu affected families in the Mekong delta province of Tien Giang in Vietnam will receive 82,000 Chinese-bred chickens as part of a World-Bank funded project.
The US$100,000 project will also include feeds,vaccines, facilities and information establishments that will update communities regarding bird-flu developments.
Earlier, 300 households in Cho Gao and Go Cong Tay districts had received 45,300 Chinese-bred chickens.
The project will also be carried out in My Tho City.
