France finds dioxins in cupric sulphate feed shipment from China

The French government has informed the European Commission that a shipment of cupric sulphate feed additives from China has been found to contain dioxins.

The shipment was resold to France from Austria. The French government has banned the sale of the product in the French market and ordered retailers and importers to issue a recall for the said product.

In accordance to EU laws, the European Commission would be issuing a consumer warning to all member states for this product.
